The Round the Island Race is the largest and most spectacular yacht race of its kind in the world. With up to 2000 yachts taking part there are horizon to horizon spinnakers. Some of the fastest ocean racers compete alongside super maxis and ocean racing catamarans, racing yachts and fast cruisers all battling for the Gold Roman Bowl. The town of Cowes, yachting capital of England, pulls out all the stops for the Round the Island Race with some fantastic social events, ensuring a great atmosphere from the pre-race party to the post race cruise.

Compete in the Round the Island Race with us on a great yacht with our unique two day package.
The Round the Island Race package starts on the Friday with a day of race preparation and coaching. With your friendly skipper you will get to grips with the yacht, practice spinnaker handling, hoists, drops and gybing techniques as well as upwind sailing practice.
The Round the Island race itself is on Saturday 25th June; with around 60 miles to sail it will take around 6 to 8 hours on our performance race yacht. Once we are back in Cowes in the early afternoon there are great social events ashore to attend.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the Lifeboat Inn on Sunday morning before heading for the ferry back to the mainland – no boring ‘cruise’ back!
