Be part of the greatest sailing challenge of 2010! The RORC Round Britain and Ireland Race which is due to start from the Royal Yacht Squadron line on Monday 8th August 2010.
The approximate race distance around the British Isles is some 1760 miles and the first yachts should cross the finishing line about ten days after the start.

The Round Britain and Ireland race in 2010 will be a fully crewed and is open to IRC, IRM, Open 60s and multihulls and is designated a category 1 race under ISAF Special Regulations.
Qualification for entry are that the skippers of each of the yachts and at least 50% of the crew must have completed the 2009 Rolex Fastnet Race or 500 miles of RORC offshore racing in the 12 months preceding the start of the race, in the yacht in which they will race the Round Britain and Ireland Race.
The Global Yacht Racing campaign
Our campaign will start in May 2010 with the ISAF Sea Survival Offshore Race Crew Course and we will continue over the next three months with three training weekends and at least 3 RORC qualifying races.
We believe in racing to win, and coach you to a level where everyone contributes to the success of the team.
Experience
Preferred however not essential, but this is a tough race, and commitment and a willingness to race hard is essential.
Training and Coaching
Our team of training coaches have experience in helping crews to compete in classics like the Rolex Fastnet and the Rolex Sydney Hobart. Over the training weekend and throughout the RORC qualifying race campaign they will coach and lead the team to the highest possible success, Global Yacht Racing carries no passengers.
